What is the health score?
Your health score is a single grade (A through F) that summarizes the operational health of your iVend deployment. It's calculated from 28 automated checks across 8 dimensions, updated every time the agent pushes a snapshot (every 5 minutes).
The 8 dimensions
| Dimension | What it measures |

| Store Data Sync | Replication queue health, pending records, failed syncs across all stores |
| Database Health | Index fragmentation, database file sizes, backup freshness, long-running queries |
| ERP Integration | SAP B1 / S4HANA / Sage / Dynamics connector sync status and error rates |
| Security & Compliance | Encryption configuration, access controls, audit logging, password policies |
| Server Health | CPU, memory, and disk utilization on the iVend server |
| Checkout Performance | POS transaction throughput, response times, offline transaction counts |
| Store Network | Store online/offline status, connectivity patterns, last-seen timestamps |
| System Configuration | iVend version currency, configuration consistency across stores, service status |
How grades work
Each dimension receives a score from 0 to 100. These are weighted and combined into an overall grade:
| Grade | Score range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| A | 90–100 | Excellent — no action needed |
| B | 80–89 | Good — minor items to address |
| C | 70–79 | Fair — several improvements recommended |
| D | 60–69 | Poor — attention needed soon |
| F | Below 60 | Critical — immediate action required |
How to improve your score
Each dimension in the Health Dashboard shows its individual checks with pass/fail status and specific recommendations. Focus on:
- Red checks first: These are the highest-severity findings dragging your score down
- Quick wins: Some checks (like enabling backup encryption or rebuilding fragmented indexes) can jump your score by 5–10 points
- Track over time: The health trend chart shows your score history so you can see the impact of changes
