Drift Matrix

Spot stores running configuration, data, or software out of line with the HQ baseline.

What is drift?

Drift is any place where a store has diverged from the HQ baseline — different iVend version, different tax rule, different price, different peripheral driver. A healthy fleet has near-zero drift. Drift is the root cause of a large share of "why does this only happen at Store 7?" incidents.

How to open it

From the Store Fleet KPI strip, click Drift on any store — or open the fleet-wide matrix from the Versions & Patches drill. The matrix has stores on one axis and facets on the other.

The six facets

FacetWhat it compares
iVend versionInstalled version at each store vs. HQ baseline
DB schemaReported schema version from the replication heartbeat
Config profilePOS profile, tax config, payment method set
Price listPrice list version in use at the POS
Peripheral driversPrinter / scale / scanner driver versions
Agent versionPulse Agent build installed on the store server

Cells are coloured: green = matches HQ, amber = acceptable drift (e.g., staged upgrade), red = unsupported drift.

Acting on drift

Click any red cell to see the exact delta (e.g., "iVend 2024.7 installed; baseline is 2024.9"). From the cell you can Schedule catch-up (adds the store to the next HQ push cycle), Force push (admin-only, re-sends the current baseline), or Acknowledge (marks drift as known / accepted).
