Drift Matrix
Spot stores running configuration, data, or software out of line with the HQ baseline.
What is drift?
Drift is any place where a store has diverged from the HQ baseline — different iVend version, different tax rule, different price, different peripheral driver. A healthy fleet has near-zero drift. Drift is the root cause of a large share of "why does this only happen at Store 7?" incidents.
How to open it
From the Store Fleet KPI strip, click Drift on any store — or open the fleet-wide matrix from the Versions & Patches drill. The matrix has stores on one axis and facets on the other.
The six facets
| Facet | What it compares |
|---|---|
| iVend version | Installed version at each store vs. HQ baseline |
| DB schema | Reported schema version from the replication heartbeat |
| Config profile | POS profile, tax config, payment method set |
| Price list | Price list version in use at the POS |
| Peripheral drivers | Printer / scale / scanner driver versions |
| Agent version | Pulse Agent build installed on the store server |
Cells are coloured: green = matches HQ, amber = acceptable drift (e.g., staged upgrade), red = unsupported drift.
Acting on drift
Click any red cell to see the exact delta (e.g., "iVend 2024.7 installed; baseline is 2024.9"). From the cell you can Schedule catch-up (adds the store to the next HQ push cycle), Force push (admin-only, re-sends the current baseline), or Acknowledge (marks drift as known / accepted).
