POS Fleet

Track POS terminals, versions, and activity.

Overview

The POS Fleet page provides a fleet-wide inventory of every POS terminal across all your stores. Use it to track terminal health, software versions, and activity patterns.

What you see for each terminal

  • Terminal ID and name: As configured in iVend
  • Store: Which store this terminal belongs to
  • Status: Active (used in the last hour), idle (last used more than an hour ago), or offline
  • iVend POS version: Software version on this terminal
  • Last transaction: Timestamp of the most recent transaction processed
  • Last heartbeat: Most recent connectivity check-in

Version tracking

The version column helps you identify terminals that need software updates. If your HQ is running a newer version than some POS terminals, the version number appears in orange or red depending on how far behind it is. Version mismatches can cause transaction errors and replication issues.

Health indicators

Each terminal shows a health badge based on its recent activity:

  • Active — Processing transactions normally
  • Idle — Connected but no recent transactions (may be expected outside business hours)
  • Offline — Not responding to heartbeat checks

Bulk operations

POS Fleet is a read-only view — Pulse monitors terminals but doesn't manage them. To update POS software or change configuration, use your existing iVend management tools. Pulse tells you which terminals need attention; your team handles the action.
