Choosing Your Subdomain
Naming conventions, what it means, can you change it later.
What is your subdomain?
Your subdomain is the unique URL where your team accesses Pulse. It follows the format:
yourcompany.pulse.ivend.com
For example, if your company is FreshMart, your URL might be freshmart.pulse.ivend.com.
Naming guidelines
- Length: 3–30 characters
- Characters: Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only
- No spaces or special characters
- Must be unique — the wizard checks availability in real-time
We recommend using your company name or a recognizable abbreviation. Avoid internal project codes that your team won't remember.
Can you change it later?
Subdomains are permanent once set. This is because:
- Bookmarks, saved links, and browser auto-fills would break
- Team members who have the URL saved would lose access
- API integrations reference the subdomain
If you absolutely need to change your subdomain, contact support. We can create a new tenant and migrate your data, but it requires manual intervention.
Security
Your subdomain provides tenant isolation. Data from one subdomain is never accessible from another. Each subdomain has its own authentication, session cookies, and data boundary.
